Biography of Manija Davlatova

Manija Davlatova is a Tajik pop singer who performs songs in the Persian pop music style. She was born on December 31, 1982 in Kulob, Tajikistan.

Education and Career

After graduating from Secondary School No. 8 in Kulob in 1999, Davlatova enrolled in the Foreign Language Faculty of Kulob State University. In 2001, she transferred to the Journalism Faculty of Tajik State National University, where she completed her studies in 2006.

Davlatova began her music career in 2001 with the song "U Rechki" (By the River). She considers the singer and composer Zikri Olloh as her first mentor. She is also a fellow hometown artist with another famous Tajik pop singer, Shabnam Surayyo.

Albums and Performances

Currently, Davlatova has released two albums, both of which were recorded during concerts in the Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif. She has also successfully performed concerts in Kabul. Davlatova enjoys great popularity and has many fans both in her native Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

Recent Years

In the past few years, Davlatova has not been performing on stage, although she continues to write songs for other artists. She explains her decision to step away from the spotlight by citing religious reasons.
